Hi,
I'm Lorrie Nadene
The Full Story
For nearly 15 years, I thrived as an entertainer, dancer, and model, driven by the pursuit of external perfection. My self-worth was tied to physical performance and image. Beneath the polished exterior, however, was a whirlwind of personal trauma, limiting beliefs, and negative influences. The bright stage lights and applause masked moments of fleeting confidence, overshadowed by deep-seated insecurities and relentless self-doubt. The mirror that once reflected potential became a source of anxiety, magnifying every perceived flaw and fueling a cycle of striving and self-sabotage.
The pressure to maintain an ideal image led to chronic stress and physical exhaustion. I pushed through grueling rehearsals and performances, only to collapse behind closed doors, consumed by frustration and emotional fatigue. External praise couldn’t fill the void left by a lack of genuine self-assurance. Social events became isolating as I compared myself to others, convinced I wasn’t enough. Even as I transitioned out of performing to explore new paths, I carried a lingering sense of inadequacy and failure.
Yet, amidst this internal conflict, something powerful was taking shape. During my years as a performer and hostess, I engaged with people from all walks of life—different cultures, beliefs, ages, and professions. Through these experiences, I unknowingly developed a superpower: the ability to communicate, connect, and build authentic relationships. I mastered the art of creating meaningful and memorable interactions, using rapport-building techniques and language strategies to assert myself as a uniquely recognized and respected individual. This skill not only allowed me to excel in my career—earning multiple six figures annually, guest appearing at major events, judging competitions, and speaking at expos—but also laid the foundation for my future success.
In 2015, after gaining significant weight, I reached a breaking point. My body bore the physical toll of my emotional struggles, and I knew it was time to reclaim control. I stepped into the world of health and fitness, becoming a personal trainer and eventually competing in bodybuilding and fitness modeling competitions. Outwardly, I appeared disciplined and focused, but the patterns of inconsistency, fear, and self-sabotage persisted. The glossy competition photos hid the late-night anxiety, self-criticism, and relentless pursuit of perfection that left me feeling empty and disconnected.
Yet, despite my internal struggles, I thrived professionally. As a beginner in the health and fitness industry with minimal technical knowledge, I quickly built a loyal client base. Within my first year, I was a six-figure personal trainer, not because of my expertise in fitness and nutrition but because of the people skills I had developed earlier in my career. I connected deeply with my clients, built genuine trust, and created long-term transformations. What set me apart wasn’t my knowledge of macros or programming—it was my ability to understand my clients, read between the lines, and address what was really holding them back. This ability to inspire and engage became the cornerstone of my success, earning me referrals and a reputation as a standout trainer.
By 2021, the toll on my body and mind reached its peak. Personal heartbreaks, including two miscarriages and losing my breast within six months, marked a turning point. I realized that no amount of external success could heal the turmoil within. It was time to confront the beliefs and patterns that had kept me trapped.
I embarked on a journey of personal development, earning certifications as an NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner in 2023. The shift was profound. For the first time, I saw beyond external validation and recognized my inherent worth. I learned to clear limiting beliefs, reframe self-sabotaging patterns, and anchor positive states that became the foundation of my transformation. The changes were visible—stress melted into inner peace, tension gave way to confidence, and my smile reflected genuine joy.
But it wasn’t just my personal growth that changed. I realized that THIS was the missing link in the fitness industry.Every trainer focuses on programs, training techniques, and nutrition strategies, but that’s not why clients fail. I had seen firsthand that the biggest factor in client success wasn’t just how well they trained or ate—it was their mindset, habits, and the emotional blocks that kept them stuck.
NLP gave me the words for what I had known all along: being a great coach isn’t about just programming workouts—it’s about unlocking a client’s full potential from the inside out. I had built a thriving fitness business not because I had the best training programs, but because I knew how to get inside my clients’ heads, break through their mental barriers, and create real, lasting change.
In 2024, I became a Certified Trainer of NLP, committed to revolutionizing the health and fitness industry. Reflecting on my years as an entertainer, personal trainer, and NLP practitioner, I realized that every phase of my life had uniquely prepared me for this mission. My personal experiences gave me insight into the challenges trainers and clients face, while my professional expertise provided the tools to create lasting solutions.
Today, my focus is clear: to transform the way we approach being a personal trainer. The fitness industry often prioritizes technical skills, but true success lies in bridging technical expertise with interpersonal mastery. By teaching trainers to build authentic connections, communicate effectively, and guide clients through both physical and mental transformations, we can redefine what it means to be a personal trainer.
This isn’t just about improving client outcomes; it’s about elevating the profession as a whole. My mission is to empower trainers to thrive, not just in their careers but in their lives, fostering growth that extends far beyond the gym. Together, we’re building a future where personal trainers aren’t just fitness coaches—they’re leaders, change makers, and the catalysts for true transformation from the inside out
